Large, dinner plate-sized blooms are lilac-blue to steel blue with striking red center eyes for contrast. Flowers open continuously from midsummer to early fall on tall, sturdy rounded plants. Broad green leaves are lance-shaped with toothed margins and hairy undersides. A great specimen for low or wet areas of the landscape, it can also be grown in large containers.
