Broad, mostly silver leaves with only slight veining. 'Permafrost' is bred for better heat tolerance. It has the classic mass of blue forget-me-not flowers in spring. This cultivar waits longer than 'Jack Frost' to go into summer dormancy, tolerating more heat and humidity and looking attractive longer.
