Dusty gray-blue leaves are slightly edged in purple, forming rosettes atop reddish stems. In late summer the succulent foliage mat is topped with clusters of rose-purple flowers. 'Lidakense' is a very hardy, drought-tolerant Japanese native. It makes a lovely low-growing groundcover or addition to the rock garden.
